Bob & Lally: MARRIED! | Louisville Wedding Photographers

If this wedding is any indication of how well these two will handle life together….their marriage will be one of the happiest, sweetest, although eventful, marriages ever!  Tight timelines, bad storms,  and power outages in the middle of the ceremony, forcing a candlelit service, was just a tiny few of the obstacles Bob and Lally were forced to deal with on their wedding day.  And while I’m 100% sure this isn’t the way they or their families dreamed it would be, they weathered everything with such grace, smiles on thier faces, laughing and holding hands the entire way.  I am so proud to be a part of witnessing something that extraordinary.  While most couples would let those things defeat them, these two refused to let it distract them from the most important reason for the day in the first place.  I loved seeing how these two adored each other and were so excited to be getting married, that all this little stuff didn’t matter!  Thanks guys for reminding us all what weddings are really all about!

Their lovely little day started out at The Galt House.  Some gorgeous details, lots of laughter, and a fun trolley ride sure started this day out just right!

PS….it never ever can be too bad of a day, no matter the circumstances, when your bride your shooting is this stunning.  In a word…flawless.

LOVE THE BRIGHT YELLOW DRESSES!  WOWZA!

A cute little trolley to provide transportation for the day?  Why yes, I do think that is a FABULOUS idea!

St. Boniface is GORGEOUS!  I’m kind of a little jealous my wedding wasn’t in a place this beautiful!

Seriously girl, you are unbelievably beautiful.

Love these first few moments of joy, excitement, and fun of “the walk”.  (down the aisle.)

Mind you, these were taken right before the power went out!

Then…boom…all lights…all gone.  But the fun little intimate shots we were still able to snag, personally they may be some of my favorite ever!

See, even with no power, and crazy unpredictable circumstances, these two could not be more excited about the vows they just took and the start of the rest of their lives together!

The clouds parted for just a few minutes, so we ran outside for a quick little session.  And these two sure no how to make the most out of just a few minutes!  Love these next few images!

How phenominal are these details?  They created an outstandingly beautiful environment fo gorgeous pics the rest of the night!

(PS…cake was made by Phlen’s bakery, but decorated by Lally’s uncle and enhanced with flowers from Lally’s Dad’s own garden!  HOW COOL IS THAT?!?!?)

One of the sweetest first dances and parents dances ever!  I love how passionately you guys do everything!  It’s fun to see!

Now that’s how you smash a cake!

Once the band got rockin’ (and a little alcohol got flowin’… =D )  This party took off!  Seriously, don’t you wish you were friends with these people?!?!?!

Can I just come to all of your guys’ parties?  If for nothing else to see more of Bob’s Air Guitar!

🙂

This last shot is so simple, but honestly one of my favorites.  It is a perfect example of how no matter what was going on throughout the day, good or bad, these two kept smiling and adoring each other all night long.  It’s was a perfect kind of love that I hope you guys always keep.

I’m so in love with everything about this wedding day.  The details, your friends, your families, and most of all you guys and how much you love each other.  We were beyond honored to be chosen by you guys to be a part of something so special.  And while I’m sure the day did not go exactly how you pictured it in your dreams, in my opinion, it was still perfect, still beautiful, and still an awesome celebration of love between to amazing people.  Congratulations you guys, may the rest of your lives be as eventful, and may you always walk through it all hand in hand!

Donnie & Jasmine: MARRIED! | Bardstown Wedding Photographer

Loved.  That was clearly the theme of the day.  They spent the day displaying their love for one another, for their families, for the friends, and for anyone they came in contact with that day.  She smiled and cried, he teared up with passion and adoration for his glowing bride, and all who watched felt empowered by the possibility that forever just might really be possible after seeing these two together.  There was a warm-ness.  A tenderness.  A passion that gleamed through the day, and we were lucky to have been a part of it.  We felt like honorary bridesmaid’s and groomsmen.  Because not just Jasmine and Donnie, but their families and friends welcomed us in as if to their living rooms instead of a formal event.

Jasmine’s embrace for everyone and Donnie’s welcoming smile and handshake is part of what attracted these two to each other and they are so perfectly complimented.  They both are exploding with love, compassion, excitement, spontaneity, and joy.  In fact, they are currently driving cross-country to California, but just stopping along the way as they please to enjoy this country and their perfect love for one another.  Way to go guys, way to enjoy life to the fullest.  We could all take a lesson.

People, this right here is why we do first looks.  The emotion is unbelievable, raw, sweet, and perfect.  And just ask these two….it hardly ruined that trip down the aisle emotion.  You’ll still see that there was plenty of that too.  These guys were so overcome with excitement and joy to see each other.  I was in love and teary-eyed just watching.  Just do us a favor….spend the rest of your lives looking at each other this way.

Ummm….wow.

You guys are just two sweet together…it’s almost not fair!

Seriously Jasmine…you are ridiculously gorgeous.  Flawless.

undefinedundefined

See…still so full of emotion.  Doing a first look doesn’t change the feelings you have when the music plays and the doors open.  It just allows for some special intimate time before all of the busy-ness and craziness of the day happens.  A chance to hold each other in your arms, smile, love, and realize it’s your wedding day.  This moment is still just as special.  These two prove that!

OhMyGosh….so in love with this next series of pics.  I love that you can see the true, raw, excitement beaming from these two as they now start their lives as husband and wife.  AAAAAHHHHHH!  Perfect!

YEA!!!

Our first Baby Girl is Almost Here!

So this may be the most awkward entry I’ve ever had to write…namely because I’m the subject.  Writing about yourself is both challenging and freeing.  So here’s a bit of the backstory and the story of what we hope is to come.

We have two beuatiful, crazy, hilarious, sweet, perfect (most days) little boys.  They provide hours of entertainment, even in the middle of the night when it’s not so welcome at times.  They constantly have a full tank of gas and burn at 1,000,000 miles an hour all hours of the day.  We wouldn’t change 1 thing about that either.  So between work, maintaining our house, our marriage and trying not to screw up the kids we already have…life stays pretty busy!  But…we were on the fence about whether or not we wanted a third.  We were kicking the idea around, and just trying to get some plans about how a third will fit into this crazy mix.  Then one day….SURPRISE!…God made up our mind for us!  We were long from expecting this little one so soon, but sometimes it’s beautiful when God moves you out of the way of yourself and creates something wonderful in His timing.

So anytime in about the next two and a half weeks our first little girl will be arriving.  Sometimes I wonder/dream/hope/think about what she will be like.  Will she be full fledged tom-boy like me who will keep these boys on their toes?  Or will she be sugar and spice and everything nice with ribbons and bows in her hair?  (Lord help me if she is!  LOL….cause this momma will need some lessons on how to do ribbons and curls if that’s the case!)  Either way, we are so excited about this precious gift God has placed inside of me, and will soon be in our arms.

I was on the fence about whether or not to do these maternity shots….you see when you are short and quite round to begin with like me….you don’t get this cute little basketball that some girls get.  You get big all over.  So typically at this stage of my pregnancy, I’m hot (in the physical temperature meaning), I’m tired, and I’m humongous all over.  And I still am this time.  But this is going to be our last, and I thought there may be a part of me down the road who for some strange reason, actually may want to remember this time in my life.  And I think about how I wish I had some of these pics like this of my mom….so for my soon coming little girl….these are for you.

PS….HUGE thanks to Elizabeth for taking these for me!  She did an amazing job, and despite my extremely tough criticism of myself, she still managed to get some great shots that even I can smile about.  I’m glad I have Elizabeth as a business partner, as a sister in law, but most importantly as my friend.  Thanks girl…I owe ya!

Can’t believe I’m about to show you guys these….but here goes…..

Baby Girl, we can’t wait to meet you.  We have been preparing, praying, and dreaming of you for quite some time now.  We can’t wait to be your parents.  Your brothers can’t wait to hold you.  And everyone can’t wait to love you.  See ya soon sweet girl!

Alex & April: ENGAGED! | Louisville Wedding Photography

Comfortable.  Content.  Happy.  Joyful.  Smitten.  All of these words perfectly describe Alex and April.  They’ve been together for quite some time so it is fitting that they are the epitome of the aforementioned adjectives, but simple love is written all over these two.  They were introduced by a friend, who I say, could not have picked out a more perfect match.  Their love is easy.  It’s a perfect kind of “no-frills” love that people dream about.  I easily picture Alex and April sitting on a front porch swing 75 years from now, holding each other with the same simple glances they did on this day.  That my friends is a love people can only hope for…and I’m glad these two have found it in each other.  Hold on to that.

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

April you’re pretty.  Alex, I’m so glad you know exactly what you have in your arms.

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

See that sweet contentment I was talking about?  Yeah…you don’t see this every day.  I’m glad I see it in you two.
