Thomas & Kelsie: ENGAGED! | Louisville Engagement Photography

The way these two laugh and make each other smile is so contagious.  We love when we have a session where as we look through the viewfinder seeing two people so happy and in love that we can’t help but smile too.  Kelsie and Thomas were just that perfect couple.  I loved how every time he kissed he cheek, she couldn’t contain a burst of bashful laughter.  I loved how every time Thomas felt unsure of himself Kelsie was quick to tell him how handsome he looked and how lucky she was to be his soon to be bride.  They encourage each other.  They strengthen one another.  They laugh together.  They love passionately.  And they are happy…genuinely happy.  We couldn’t be more thrilled for them or their upcoming wedding.  We sure do have some amazing couples to look forward to next year, and these two are definitely among the top of the list!  We had to many favorites to include in this one blog post so be sure and check out the slideshow at the end!

There’s that adorable bashfulness that Kelsie pulls off so well.

Aren’t they so great together?!?!?!

Time for an outfit change and more awesome pics!

It’s really not fair that you guys are this cute together.

Perfect shot of how we all got through this session.  They are just ridiculously so happy together that this kind of emotion just bubbles out of them.  Love it.

Kelsie, you’re adorable.  Thomas, you’re quite handsome yourself.  I love you guys together.

One final outfit change as the sun was setting.  The colors and the light at the end of the night were perfection.

Probably my favorite shot of the whole night.  Just so sweet and simple.  Perfectly Kelsie and Thomas.

Thanks guys.  We had so much fun.  I hope you guys enjoy all of these.  And we can’t wait for the wedding!  See ya soon!

Perfectly beautiful pictures and a wonderful couple. Charish these special times… We look forward to your life together. Hey by the way, where did you get those perfect smiles?

Erik & Sarah: ENGAGED! | Louisville Engagement Photographer

Erik and Sarah are so great!  We had so much fun meeting them (and their precious dog, Indy too!)  We had actually never met before, as Sarah found us over the internet, and unfortunately (for us) they are getting married in St. Louis, so don’t need us to shoot their wedding.  So we chatted back and forth over emails and finally set up a date for a downtown appointment for the session.  So glad they found us and we got to spend the evening with them!  They were so much fun and the way they make each other laugh is priceless.  Erik seriously may be one of the funniest guys we have ever shot.  He had us in stitches the whole time.  Sarah is crazy gorgeous, and has such a kind spirit that you can’t help but love her.  So together, these two are perfect.  I wish you guys all the best and can’t wait to see your wedding pictures!  Hope you enjoy these until then!

We started things out at St. James Court in Downtown Louisville.  Love this place!

you guys are super cute.

Erik was full of interesting facial expressions for us.  This was one of my personal faves!

Then we took a little stroll over to nearby Central Park.  That place provides some gorgeous backdrops!

The picture on the left below is maybe my favorite.  It perfectly shows their personalities.  Fun, sweet, and crazy in love.

One last stop at the Waterfront for some sweet, fun pics with their gorgeous dog, Indy.

I love how Indy is looking up at them.  Such a cute pic!

The next two pictures may be the funniest pictures we have ever taken!  Although Sarah loves Indy, she admits that Indy is technically is Erik’s dog.  And after looking at these two pics…we couldn’t agree more!  I absolutely almost fell out of my chair laughing when I got home and went through these pics.  I couldn’t believe that Erik and Indy were making the exact same expressions!  HILARIOUS!

Louisville, KY

Thanks guys!  We had so much fun!  i can’t wait to hear all about your perfect little wedding in St. Louis!  Send us the pics…we are quite jealous of your St. Louis photographer!  They sure are getting a great couple!  See you guys soon!

Jon & Lauren: MARRIED! | Louisville Wedding Photographer

Great weather, perfect light, sweet sweet couple, perfect love.  When we get lucky enough to have all of these elements come together in one day…the results are simply beautiful.  We are so in love with how these images turned out.  Jon and Lauren are so sweet together, not to mention gorgeous people, who just made the day a breeze.  Everything about the day was so perfectly them.  From the details, to the menu, to their worshipful ceremony; it all came together to produce a perfect wedding day.  Jon and Lauren’s wedding is one that every little girl dreams of.  It was gorgeous, and we couldn’t have been happier to be asked to be a part of it.  So sit back, relax, and enjoy this (long) but gorgeous wedding post!

Lauren has a beautiful little girl that she adopted from Bolivia.  Lauren had the great idea of photographing their shoes and dresses together.  How cute is this?

These were set up all around the room where Lauren was getting dressed.  I loved them because one of my favorite movie quotes of all time is the one in the top left from “When Harry Met Sally.”

Lauren, you were simply breath-taking.  Well, we have known each other for quite some time now, and truth be known, I have always thought of you as one of the most beautiful people I have ever met.  Inside and out.  So it is just fitting that you be this gorgeous on your wedding day.

The following two images are my favorites of you.  Your easy, sweet smile, and your knock-out model pose….PERFECT!

This is sweet Angie.  Told you she was beautiful!

Jon, most people will tell you how lucky you are to have married such a gorgeous woman.  And they’re right…but I think she’s pretty blessed too to be gaining a kind, sweet, funny, generous, thoughtful, good looking guy like yourself also!

Jon has one of the best smiles I’ve ever seen!

Little GQ action!

Jon and Lauren elected to not do a “first look” but to do a “first touch” instead.  Such a sweet idea.  Essentially we place them so that they can talk and touch, but not actually see each other.  It was fun for us to see both of their reactions and them not be able to see each other.

I love this chapel.  Such a beautiful place to say “I-do.”

Jon and Lauren prayed together, took communion together, worshiped together and recited 1 Corinthians 13 to each other.  It was a beautiful ceremony filled with beautiful reminders of who is at the center of their love and will forever lead their marriage.

Then, as a surprise to Lauren, Jon had pre-arranged a portion of the ceremony to be the ultimate example of Jesus and wash Lauren’s feet.  It is a perfect example of humility and sacrifice.  Lauren…I think you got yourself one amazing guy there.  If he’s willing to wash your feet on your wedding day, he will forever be your servant and leader.  I’ll admit, I teared up a little bit watching this.

We snuck away right after the ceremony for a quick little private session over at Garden Court.  These may be some of our favorite images ever.

Proof that we have a good time when we are with our couples.  I’m not sure what happened that turned out this reaction from Jon…but it is a favorite of mine.

Finally before heading over to the reception we snuck in a few fun images of this AWESOME bridal party!  Thanks guys for being so much fun!

Raquel and Elizabeth, thank you so much for being rockstar photographers! How shall I get the files from you when they’re ready??

Paul & Susie: MARRIED! | Louisville Wedding Photography

We adore this couple.  The way they laugh, have fun, adore, respect, and love each other is beautiful.  You can tell by the way Paul stares and smiles at Susie that he couldn’t be more happy to be by her side.  The way she talks about him, brags about him, and lights up when he’s around, proves how smitten she is with him.  We were so thrilled to be a part of their wedding day.  It was beautiful, LOTS OF FUN, and perfect.  We hope you guys love the images from your wedding day and it will forever remind you of how happy you were on this day!

Susie got ready and dressed at her parent’s house.  We think it made for quite the GORGEOUS setting!

Susie, you should be a model.  Seriously….forget your amazing doctor career path and do this.  You’re beautiful.

Paul is quite the handsome fellow himself!  And a doctor too!  They are one amazing couple.  Talented, incredibly smart, and beautiful together.  Sometimes it’s just not fair!  🙂

Gorgeous Church!  YAY!  We’re married!

Paul and Susie elected to do a butterfly release in the Memorial Garden at the church in remembrance for some lost family members.  It was so sweet.  Everyone loved it, but the best part was there were a few butterflies who just wanted to stick around close to Paul and Susie a little longer.  Funny how sometimes God provides a sign to show us that those we love are watching down over us.  Very sweet moment.

Then it was off to the party!  And quite the amazing one they had!  We wish we had enough space to show you all of the amazing reception shots we got!

We just love you guys.

Stay this happy forever.

Ben & Courtnee: MARRIED! | Louisville Wedding Photographers

So much fun!  Courtney and Ben have such a sweet way of making each other laugh.  They are both so comfortable in their own skin, but they both realize how much greater they are together.  They fit perfectly together, make each other better, and are destined for a life-time of happiness!

Courtney is a super laid-back bride, but looks remarkably like a super model.  She is gorgeous, funny, kind, and considerate.  Ben found something pretty special in her!

Ben is an easy-going, relaxed fellow who tends to shy away from attention.  In fact, he didn’t even want us to take his picture at all.  But I’m sure glad you caved.  You are one handsome gentleman, and I’m sure Courtney will cherish these pics of you forever!

Hope you guys like these!

A little fun in the parking lot!

Gorgeous Dress!  Courtney got ready at the Hyatt Regency downtown…I’m so glad they provided a beautiful backdrop for us to shoot details with!

You can ask any bride.  They all have a method to get into the dress without messing up their perfect fixed hair.  This was Courtney’s plan.  HAHAHA….LOVE IT!

Mr. & Mrs.

We took advantage of the drive from the Hyatt to the Frazier Museum and stopped off at a few “classic Louisville” locations for some impromptu portrait sessions!  SOOOOOO FUN!  First up was the Yum! Center.

Luckily, the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory is directly across the street from Frazier.  We took full advantage of this!

Told you she looked like a super model!

Looking quite handsome yourself there Mr. Hodges.

The rooftop on the Frazier Museum (where they had their ceremony) provided a GORGEOUS backdrop.

YAY!  We’re Married!
