Jon & Lauren: MARRIED! | Louisville Wedding Photographer

Great weather, perfect light, sweet sweet couple, perfect love.  When we get lucky enough to have all of these elements come together in one day…the results are simply beautiful.  We are so in love with how these images turned out.  Jon and Lauren are so sweet together, not to mention gorgeous people, who just made the day a breeze.  Everything about the day was so perfectly them.  From the details, to the menu, to their worshipful ceremony; it all came together to produce a perfect wedding day.  Jon and Lauren’s wedding is one that every little girl dreams of.  It was gorgeous, and we couldn’t have been happier to be asked to be a part of it.  So sit back, relax, and enjoy this (long) but gorgeous wedding post!

Lauren has a beautiful little girl that she adopted from Bolivia.  Lauren had the great idea of photographing their shoes and dresses together.  How cute is this?

These were set up all around the room where Lauren was getting dressed.  I loved them because one of my favorite movie quotes of all time is the one in the top left from “When Harry Met Sally.”

Lauren, you were simply breath-taking.  Well, we have known each other for quite some time now, and truth be known, I have always thought of you as one of the most beautiful people I have ever met.  Inside and out.  So it is just fitting that you be this gorgeous on your wedding day.

The following two images are my favorites of you.  Your easy, sweet smile, and your knock-out model pose….PERFECT!

This is sweet Angie.  Told you she was beautiful!

Jon, most people will tell you how lucky you are to have married such a gorgeous woman.  And they’re right…but I think she’s pretty blessed too to be gaining a kind, sweet, funny, generous, thoughtful, good looking guy like yourself also!

Jon has one of the best smiles I’ve ever seen!

Little GQ action!

Jon and Lauren elected to not do a “first look” but to do a “first touch” instead.  Such a sweet idea.  Essentially we place them so that they can talk and touch, but not actually see each other.  It was fun for us to see both of their reactions and them not be able to see each other.

I love this chapel.  Such a beautiful place to say “I-do.”

Jon and Lauren prayed together, took communion together, worshiped together and recited 1 Corinthians 13 to each other.  It was a beautiful ceremony filled with beautiful reminders of who is at the center of their love and will forever lead their marriage.

Then, as a surprise to Lauren, Jon had pre-arranged a portion of the ceremony to be the ultimate example of Jesus and wash Lauren’s feet.  It is a perfect example of humility and sacrifice.  Lauren…I think you got yourself one amazing guy there.  If he’s willing to wash your feet on your wedding day, he will forever be your servant and leader.  I’ll admit, I teared up a little bit watching this.

We snuck away right after the ceremony for a quick little private session over at Garden Court.  These may be some of our favorite images ever.

Proof that we have a good time when we are with our couples.  I’m not sure what happened that turned out this reaction from Jon…but it is a favorite of mine.

Finally before heading over to the reception we snuck in a few fun images of this AWESOME bridal party!  Thanks guys for being so much fun!
